Lynne McGill

Lin-Pin Crafts I have always had a creative and artistic aspect in my life with a keen interest in photography and art, but a long career in nursing, with marriage and children have kept me more than busy!

Currently I now have more time to utilise this aspect and now actively seek inspiration to create bespoke pieces of felt work. This allows me to create an atmosphere in my landscapes or make you smile at a grumpy dog or cheeky snowman! Relaxing seascapes and landscapes to highlight the need to escape to a simpler way of life at the beach or in a highland "but and ben".By using the raw materials of merino roving wool, a flat piece of felt as a canvas, a single needle and a brush, and with time, patience and some artistic licence, I create 2d and 3d pictures and subjects with a rich and soft colour palate. After attending events, fairs and charity fundraisers with my handmade decorations and needle felt works I was delighted to join Mugdock Makkers Gallery in March 2018.

Since then I have continued to attend events, hold workshops at Mugdock Courtyard with fellow Makkers and hold classes locally at Isew2, and I have now become a member at the Scottish Design Exchange in both Edinburgh and Glasgow stores. With the very supportive help of Business Gateway and their team of consultants I have progressed to improve my little home business and have a Lin-Pin facebook page, an Etsy account and I am in the process of a website.I am happy to discuss and undertake any commission works and hope that my craft will bring you a smile and perhaps even touch your heart and soul.
