The strong looping shape is an adaption of the straight line "Runic" shape depicting a "Good Home". Travellers might scratch this on the side of a house that gave them good wages ,food or place to stay. I have used the curved pattern with a Heart at its centre.....The heart was where the Ancients believed the Soul resided and from its Spirit of Love it became associated with romance. The Thistle at the top now means "Scottishness" and my Clan the Mac Donalds were relieved when a band of Enemies aborted their early morning attack when one of the Warriors let out a whimper when he fell into a bunch of Thistles .....So the thistle means "Good Luck" ...And the same to you
